CURRENT PROJECTS

    FLAK PHOTO

    I'm working on a handful of items, but my foremost effort is as the Editor of Flak Photo, a daily photography blogzine featuring distinctive work from an international community of contributors. The blog aims to promote interesting visual approaches to seeing the world and celebrates the art of exhibiting quality photography on the web. Flak Photo is published Monday through Friday, with special exhibitions on the weekends.


    FLAK MAGAZINE

    Additionally, I am the Photo/Interactive editor for Flak Magazine, a web publication dedicated to thoughtful writing about popular culture. In recent months, I've been developing our multimedia sections and have produced a handful of interactive photo essays.


    WISCONSIN HISTORICAL IMAGES

    Last fall, I joined the staff at Wisconsin Historical Images, a digital photo archive at the Wisconsin Historical Society. I'm producing high resolution scans of photo negatives and reflective prints from the collections, and processing the digital files for public use in our online image database. In addition, I'm coordinating the development of WHS Images, an eBay store that provides high-resolution giclée print reproductions from the visual materials archive.


    WISCONSIN DNR

    As a Senior Communications Specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, I contribute to a variety of web and photo projects and produce Land Use Resources, a news blog for DNR land use professionals. I'm also heading up the development of a web-based library of stock photos for internal circulation.


    ISTHMUS

    Offline, I'm a contributing photographer with Isthmus, a Madison-based print and web newsweekly. I shoot a variety of location assignments and have produced several cover story features.


    ANDY ADAMS PHOTOGRAPHY

    Occasionally, I work as a freelance photographer. I have produced work in print and online for a variety of clients, including Madison Magazine, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, ELLEgirl, The Motor Primitives, Jan Wheaton, the Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy and the Isthmus Jazz Festival. From time to time, I add new images to Andy Adams Photography, a digital portfolio of recent work.
